Statement
２０１６年９月、郡上八幡でのアーティスイン・レジデンスの際、 市民の方々からたくさんの「いらなくなった造花」を譲っていただき、 インスタレーション作品を展示しました。 搬出後、袋の中でたくさんの造花がひしめき合い、ぎゅうぎゅう詰めに 咲き絡む姿は何とも言えない存在感があり、生命力の固まりに見えました。 その中からひとつひとつ造花を摘み取り、改めて作品にしていく行為は、 そこに無いはずの「生」とそこにある「死」との間を行き来するような不思議な旅でした。 私がかつて住んでいた今は訪れることのなくなった家の花壇を 想い起こしたり、またこれから見るであろう風景のような気もしながら、 現実と夢の間に浮かぶ景色を形づくりました。
